On 14 April 2023, Hanseatic Energy Hub GmbH, Am Sandtorkai 48, 20457 Hamburg, applied for a permit to construct and operate a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and connecting pipeline systems for storing and regasifying liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the plant site in 21683 Stade, Johann-Rathje-Köser-Strasse 8.
The application and complete application documents will be available for inspection from 18 October 2023 up to and including 25 October 2023 at the Staatliche Gewerbeaufsichtsamt Lüneburg (State Trade Inspectorate Lüneburg), Hanseatic City of Stade (City Hall) and Amt Geest und Marsch Südostholstein.
The application documents will also be available during the aforementioned period on the Lower Saxony Trade Inspectorate Authority's website at https://www.gewerbeaufsicht.niedersachsen.de/(in German), and can be viewed there via the “Bekanntmachungen > Lüneburg/Celle/Cuxhaven” path.

It will also be published in the edition of the Lower Saxony Ministerial Gazette issued on Wednesday, 11 October 2023.
Any objections to the scheme must be submitted in writing or electronically to the aforementioned inspection offices during the objection period, which begins on 18 October 2023 and ends at the end of 1 November 2023. Upon expiry of this period, all objections to the permitting procedure that are not based on special titles under private law are excluded (Section 10 para. 3 sentence 5 BImSchG).
