HEH – Updates: News from the Project

From the upcoming construction site tours for our neighbours to the ongoing work on the future pipeline connection – progress is evident in many places.

Construction site tours for our neighbours
HEH will be offering local residents the opportunity to visit the construction site as part of the upcoming Week of Industry in Stade. The tours will take place from 14 to 18 September 2026 and will be conducted by bus. Registration will be available shortly via the website of the Hanseatic City of Stade.

Construction work – not only in the industrial park
Construction activity is currently taking place not only at the future terminal site for liquefied gases. Work on the pipeline connection is also clearly visible across the wider Stade area, for example along both sides of the L111 road from Bützfleth towards Stade.

First signs of spring on a renatured site
During a site visit in early April, HEH’s ESG Officer, Malena Philippi, was delighted to see the first signs of spring on one of HEH’s restored areas. The 11‑hectare site, completed in the first half of 2025, has been transformed with new plantings, expanded water bodies and newly created wet meadows, providing a habitat for amphibians and other wildlife.

Next Issue
The next edition of the HEH News will be published in summer 2026. You can once again look forward to insightful perspectives on the project, behind-the-scenes stories from daily operations on site, and updates from our team.
